I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad de Valparaíso (UV) and a member of the research center CIMFAV-UV.
In 2012, I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematical Modeling at Universidad de Chile under the supervision of Marcos Kiwi and Martin Loebl. Then, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Departamento de Ciência da Computação of Universidade de São Paulo (USP), where my host was Yoshiko Wakabayashi. From February 2014, and until end of January 2015, I was at the School of Mathematics of GaTech, visiting Robin Thomas.
Research fields and interest
My research interests lie in the area of discrete mathematics. I am particularly interested in problems that arise in the fields of structural graph theory, topological graph theory, enumerative combinatorics and discrete mathematics in statistical physics. More recently, I have been also working on some extremal combinatorial problems.
